Hi vvcv,

could you supply some more info like if your pc is running the service pack 1 (or 2), also what sort of cleaning regime you employ (if any)...

Try these tips though:

Download CCleaner 2.17.853 - FileHippo.com Use this cleaner to clean out files and registry entries, highly recommended!

Auslogics - Download Auslogics Disk Defrag Use this to defrag your HDD and quicken it's search time.

Finally if you open 'command prompt' (found under 'accessories' in the start menu) and then type,

'Cleanmgr/Sageset:1' (without the quotes) and then press enter...

You'll then see a box appear and you'll need to tick every check box you see inside the panel, then click ok.

Then type:

'Cleanmgr/Sagerun:1' (without the quotes) and hit enter. Vista will then run through a more thorough clean. Do this on a regular basis to keep system running in good order.

I'd also run anti-virus and anti-spyware scans...
