Windows 7 How to customize Places bar locations in a Common Dialog (Open/Save As) boxes

In Windows XP I used to customize Places bar locations in a Common Dialog (Open/Save As) boxes to my choice of folders.

Can this be done in Win 7?

The way I did it in WIN XP is
Using Group Policy editor in Windows XP Professional , I would
Type GPEDIT.MSC in the Start, Run
Navigate to this location:
User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Windows Explorer | Common Open File Dialog
Then Double-click Items displayed in Places Bar and added my places

But in Win 7 search for GPEDIT.MSC comes up blank!

Thank u

I think you are using one of the home/basic editions of Windows 7. Gpedit.msc is not available in those releases.
But. The facility was partially available (in the ultimate etc) in Vista, but has now been withdrawn.
