Hi everyone, I recently tried to Bluetooth some of my files from my cellphone to my laptop computer, but I accidentally make a new connection (cell phone connection) in my computer and I don’t know how to permanently remove it. Telephone connections appeared in the network charm under the category of connections. I can manually delete them from internet explorer(browser)/internet option/connections tab(Dial-up and virtual network settings) or from Network/Network and sharing center/change adapter settings, but each time I reboot my machine and a new connections will be added. Is there any solution to get rid of this bothering connections (my computer generate a lot of them for several days)?

By the way, a cellphone connection scheme is also appeared in the area called “this computer”-beside my local hard drives Icons.

As an attempt to solve the problem, I pressed windows+R button and typed regedit and entered registry editor. Then searched for “k810i” (my cellphone connection name), I found some files but when I tried to delete them, this error appeared. “Unable to delete all specified values”. How can I get rid of this connection?

Hi Stollin; thanks for responding.
Last night I found K810i connection in charm/settings/change Pc settings/Pc and devices/Bluetooth. I deleted the file; after that the scheme of cellphone disappeared from the category of devices and drives, but still exist in the network charm, this time in a different shape.

I followed your advice but for me nothing is listed in Settings->Change PC Settings-> Network

I also followed the mentioned command prompt instructions but didn’t help.

I Put the command “netsh wlan delete profile name="k810i"” for deleting the profile. It says:

profile "k810i" is not found on any interface

Try this: Access Charms on right-side of screen, select Settings->Change PC Settings then select Network->Connections->Manage Known Connections and see if they are listed there. If so, you can click on the ones you want the system to "forget".

You can also delete them using a command prompt and the netsh utility. See here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/manage-wireless-network-profiles
