Windows 7 How to Turn Off Laptop Screen While Keeping CPU Running: Solutions and Programs

In a PC desk-top computer. i can simply press the power button on my screen to switch it off, but in the same time, leaving my CPU running.
How can i do this with my laptop, if possible? is there a program that can help if there isn't a native way to do so?
