Windows 7 How to Unlock a Hidden Folder and Recover Pictures in Windows

I have a locked folder that shows as empty even thouproperties shows that the folder contains over 1 MB. How can I unlock this folder and get mypictures back?

1MB isn't much for pictures. Try going to control panel, folder options, view. Check "the show hidden files" and uncheck the "hide system files".

Windows doesn't have a folder lock function. This can only be done with 3rd party software. What did you lock it with?
