I always google problems when I cant figure something out and so therefore when I figure something out I like to spread the knowledge.
The HP G50-104NR Notebook PC Notebook has a SATA drive and of course before installing Windows 7 you will have to install the ACPI SATA Driver.
I downloaded ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp39501-40000/sp39903.exe and then unzipped the folder to a removable drive (USB Drive or SD Card) and then insert it in to the computer.
Boot from the Windows 7 CD and then once you get to the portion to choose the drive in which you wish to install it on. Click options in the lower left hand corner.
Choose to browse and then find your unzipped folder, go to the Vista folder. Click OK.
After you select Vista folder from your removable drive you will get a list of files, scroll all the way to the bottom and choose the SATA driver and then click OK.
Install should complete afterwards with no problem.
