Windows 7 HP wireless elite keyboard

I just purchased this keyboard and the volume control does not work. All the other keys are functional. I can't find a solution at HP or on the web. I have windows 7 professional. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have the latest drivers installed.

Those keys are normally designated by a special Keyboard driver that will probably start up with your system. I do not know what the Logitec version is but you might check msconfig.exe in the startup tab to see if something like that is starting.

If you open the Devices and Printers Dialog, do you see the keyboard listed? If so are there any setting there that might help?

Does the volume control work normally using a mouse?

I checked msconfig in the startup tab and the keyboard is checked. In the devices and printer there aren't any options for the sound.

The volume control works with the mouse.

I found this Microsoft KB. It is about a Microsoft keyboard, but maybe it will help.

I solved the problem by going to device manager, uninstall the keyboard and restarted. After the restart the volume key works. Thanks for your input.
