Windows 10 Installation stuck at 77%

I signed up for the free Windows 10 upgrade from 8.1 and started the installation process hours ago. Now it's been stuck for over half an hour at configuring settings 9% and 77% overall installation, and I'm worried it won't finish. Is there a safe way to reboot the system and try installation again?
