I purchased a new gigabyte ga m790x-ud4p and everything was working great until i flipped it on one day and no internet. device manager shows no recognized NIC and it doesnt appear to be showing any connection to my router. i pinged my loopback and recieved successful replies. im hoping theres no hardware failure as with crossfire there really isnt that much room for a NIC that isnt integrated. im using Windows 7 build 7100 RC. The drivers available online are for vista 64 bit (im using 7 64bit) and i cant install them because the port isnt recognized watsoever :(

help is veerrryy appreciatedd :(

      Troubleshooting Network Adapter Issue:

    [
    ]Update Network Adapter Drivers:
    • Since you mentioned that the available drivers are for Vista 64-bit, try the following:
      • Right-click on the unrecognized network adapter in Device Manager.
      • Select "Update Driver Software" and choose the option to browse your computer for driver software.
      • Manually install the Vista 64-bit drivers that you downloaded.
    []Compatibility Mode:
    • Try installing the Vista 64-bit drivers in compatibility mode:
      • Right-click on the driver installer and select "Properties."
      • Go to the "Compatibility" tab and check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for."
      • Choose Windows Vista from the dropdown list and then try running the installer.
    [
    ]Check BIOS Settings:
    • Make sure the onboard network adapter is enabled in the BIOS settings.
    • Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing DEL or F2) to check this.
    []Reset TCP/IP Stack:
    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands:
      Code:
netsh int ip reset netsh winsock reset
    • Restart your computer after running these commands.
    [
    ]Check for Windows Updates:
    • Ensure that your Windows 7 system is up to date with the latest updates, as this can sometimes resolve hardware compatibility issues.
  2. Check for Hardware Issues:
    • If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware issue with the network adapter or motherboard. You could try testing with a different network adapter to confirm.

      Additional Suggestions:

      • If you have access to another computer, try connecting it to the same Ethernet cable and router to see if the issue lies with the motherboard/network adapter.
      • Consider updating Windows 7 RC to a more stable and updated version if possible.
Try these steps and see if they help resolve the network connectivity problem you are experiencing. Let me know if you need further assistance!
