Solution
It seems like you are experiencing a network connectivity issue on your Windows 7 Ultimate system when downloading large files with specific applications, such as World of Warcraft or League of Legends. This problem causes your network to crash only on that particular computer, while other devices like your laptop and PS3 remain online. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Update Network Drivers: - Ensure that your network adapter drivers are up to date. Visit the manufacturer's website for your network adapter (Ethernet or Wi-Fi) and download the latest drivers compatible with Windows 7. 2. Check Network Settings: - Verify your network settings, such as the IP configuration...

This problem causes your network to crash only on that particular computer, while other devices like your laptop and PS3 remain online. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Update Network Drivers: - Ensure that your network adapter drivers are up to date. Visit the manufacturer's website for your network adapter (Ethernet or Wi-Fi) and download the latest drivers compatible with Windows 7. 2. Check Network Settings: - Verify your network settings, such as the IP configuration and DNS settings. Make sure they are configured correctly. 3. Disable Power Management: - Disable power management settings for your network adapter to prevent it from going to sleep mode during downloads. - Right-click on the network adapter in Device Manager, go to Properties, and uncheck the option related to "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." 4. Check Firewall and Antivirus: - Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software to check if they are causing the network issue. Sometimes, security software can interfere with downloads. 5. Run Network Troubleshooter: - Windows has a built-in Network Troubleshooter that can identify and fix common network issues. You can access it by right-clicking on the network icon in the taskbar and selecting "Troubleshoot problems." 6. Update Windows: - Ensure that your Windows 7 system is fully updated with the latest patches and security updates. Sometimes, network-related issues can be addressed through Windows updates. 7. Monitor Network Traffic: - Use network monitoring tools to observe network activity during downloads. This can help identify any patterns or anomalies that might be causing the crashes. 8. Check for Malware: - Run a full system scan using a trusted antivirus program to check for any malware that might be causing network disruptions. 9. Network Adapter Settings: - Check the advanced settings of your network adapter for any specific configurations related to performance or power-saving features. 10. Test with a Different Network Adapter: - If possible, test downloading with a different network adapter (e.g., USB Wi-Fi adapter) to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem lies with the adapter itself. By following these steps, you can hopefully diagnose and resolve the network crashing issue you are experiencing on your Windows 7 system. If the problem persists, further troubleshooting may be necessary to pinpoint the exact cause.
