When i open Internet Explorer 9 a pop up window says --"Internet Explorer - Search Provider Default. A program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider setting for Internet Explorer."-- It will not let me reset it and save. How do i kill this issue?

Solution
If you use the tools and Manage add-ons, there should be a Search Providers section. On the bottom of that screen is a search box about preventing programs from suggesting changes. There are also options if you right click on the actual search provider.

Do you know what is giving the messages?

If you Search Provider is really corrupted, you might be able to reinstall it.
