Welcome aboard..Howdy, gang. I have 7 on my main machine and a lappie. I have 10 on another desktop. I still prefer 7. Something about 10 . I never got comfortable with it.

You know……... I had Windows 7 again on my laptop just 2 weeks ago... out of total boredom. (I do have a legal win7pro that I bought for 195.00 a month after it came out). BUT it would not let me have the last 107 updates, not matter what I tried.
There are pluses to how it lets you use the file manager, BUT also pluses as to how Win10 file manager works.
Browser wise, I mostly use Opera or Firefox. So not having the most current IE is not a big thing.
Guys+Gals... support for Win7 is gone very shortly. Learn how to tweak Windows 10 to your liking. You know that you left Win-XP for Win-7. Now leave Win7 for Win10. In time you will know this is right..

Hello Forum,
I am using W10 for a little more then a year, still getting an occasional rage outburst or moment, but I am hopeful that it will pass given enough time (long time W7 user). Thanks for having me here
Those occasional outbursts will happen regardless what version of Windows you use. Nothing is perfect in a world run by people..

Sounds good. I dual-boot with Win10 & PCLinuxOS-kde.
Mint is definitely better than the parent Ubuntu.

Good Morning, I have been encountering "critical process died" errors on this machine, a desktop, recently along with one "unexpected store exception". My research pointed me to this forum. W7F is loaded and if I got it set up right, will give milk at some point. During all of this the Realtek LAN Family driver was updated with a noticeable minor improvement though not the desired final result. One final point, these errors occur when waking from sleep, but not every time. Sometimes I think a ballpeen hammer might be in order, but I have refrained. Good day all.

Hello ever one , glad to be a part of this. I'm pretty knowable about the PC, but I need to work on networking. Just started a new job with a new company and I'm the IT Tech guy now. 7 computer's and a server. I'm upgrading the windows 7 machines to 10 been having issues with one seeing the server, so I'm sure I will be asking a lot of questions about local networking and servers and the like.
Thank you so much for having me.
David
