Recently, my laptop was not unable to detect any 5ghz networks, so i tried to update the driver, reinstall the driver, and even roll back the driver itself. Nothing ive done solved the issue, the only answer i can think of is that my wifi card maybe actually broken.

Solution
You'll want to make sure your wireless NIC is configured to use the correct band. Either 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz or most support dual band. It's possible your NIC is configured only for the 2.4Ghz band.

You can see any modify these settings in Device Manager > Network Adapter > NIC (right click > Properties)
dual band modes only exist on 802.11a,b,g
802.11n,ac only operate on 5Ghz.
I have no idea where you live, but there are many places in the world where customers are still, for example, on a copper wire connection.
I am one such! Although a 5g is offered, I cannot connect to it.
