Hi,

Whilst using kdenlive in Windows 10 (I asked on a Linux forum as KDE is from Linux but had no responses) I have put together some slide-shows and the setup is hidef 1080p 24fps which is then rendered to mpeg2 and the issue I find is as follows, there are two pictures that are placed on either side of the screen and in the centre of the screen a slide-show of a set of other pictures. For some reason some of the slide-show pictures go on the screen with a size and dimension that is not proper, they seem a bit stretched from left to right but they do quickly shrink back to the proper shape. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

When you're working on a project in Kdenlive and encounter issues with pictures being stretched or not displaying correctly in a slideshow, there could be a few reasons behind this behavior. Here are some suggestions to address this problem: 1. Image and Video Resolution: Make sure that the resolution of the images you are using in your slideshow matches the project settings (hidef 1080p 24fps). If the images have a different aspect ratio or resolution, they might appear stretched or distorted. 2. Project Timeline Settings: Check the project's profile settings to ensure they are correctly configured for 1080p resolution and 24fps. You can adjust these settings in Kdenlive under the Project Settings. 3. Clip Properties:...

Sometimes the aspect ratio might be incorrectly set or stretched. Adjust the clip properties to maintain the correct aspect ratio. 4. Rendering Settings: When rendering the project, ensure that the output format and settings match the project settings. Choose the appropriate rendering profile that matches your project's resolution to avoid distortion during the rendering process. 5. Check for Keyframes: If you are using transitions or effects, check for unintentional keyframes that might be altering the size or position of your images during playback. Remove or adjust any unnecessary keyframes. 6. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can sometimes impact the display and rendering of media files in video editing software. 7. Video Preview Settings: Review the video preview settings in Kdenlive. You can adjust the display quality and preview resolution to see if the issue is related to how the images are displayed within the software interface. By addressing these aspects and adjusting the settings accordingly, you should be able to prevent images from appearing stretched or distorted in your Kdenlive slideshows on Windows 10.
