Widows Firewall keeps popping a notification that host process for windows services Windows Firewall is blocking a inbound from WHS which I assume means Windows Home Server. The problem is I do not have a WHS so why would it keep trying to contact me?

Solution
First, try to uninstall Windows7FirewallService - Sphinx Software - and see if that was it. (If not, and you want this software, you can always install it again later.

Second, I still think it has something to with your router's firewall settings. Go here:
Link Removed due to 404 Error
and scroll up a bit to page 186. Start reading mainly from the sentence "I'll spare you the gory"...
and focus on page 187.

Get back to us after this and we'll take it from there.

p.s. The Hijackthis log indicates other issues that can be addressed, but they don't have to do with this post so I'm not addressing them here.
Yes, I moved apartments so it was (and still is) a hectic week.
When you upload or post the text, I'll check it out.

Here is the HiJackThis log:

First, try to uninstall Windows7FirewallService - Sphinx Software - and see if that was it. (If not, and you want this software, you can always install it again later.

Second, I still think it has something to with your router's firewall settings. Go here:

and scroll up a bit to page 186. Start reading mainly from the sentence "I'll spare you the gory"...
and focus on page 187.

Get back to us after this and we'll take it from there.

p.s. The Hijackthis log indicates other issues that can be addressed, but they don't have to do with this post so I'm not addressing them here.

If I uninstall the Windows7FirewallService what would you recommend I replace it with? I read the material on the link you provided and when I tried to make the changes he recommended it screwed up my router(Belkin N750 DB) and I could not connect back to the internet and I could not access the router settings. I had to call Belkin support and they directed me on what to do, so I do not believe I want to try that again.

First, about the router, these things happen when trying to solve problems. Even professionals that are fixing computers, sometimes try a fix that screws it up more but being professionals, they just revert the fix and try other things. Sorry I didn't recommend to backup your router settings first. That is why ISPs are open 24\7.

About the firewall software - I recommend using the built in Windows 7 one and not the 3rd party one that you have installed. It might be the one giving you the warning. If you want to use it, definitely disable the Window one since you shouldn't have two firewalls running at the same time. Also, if you do keep it, look in it's settings about warnings\notifications and pop-ups. (I'm not familiar with Sphinx.)

Thank you, removing the win7 3d party firewall fixed it. Thanks again. I do not know ho it got on here.
