I have a new pc and keep getting a kernel 41 error while playing games. So far it has only been during Neverwinter Nights 2. But no other games.

I am running:

Windows 7 64bit
Intel 950
6gb (3x2gb)
Nvidia 470GTX 1280

Checked the audio drivers
Turned off the intel speedstep
Disabled RAC-task
Updated Drivers
Ran under Prime 95 for 12 hours no errors
Temps all seem normal

Error:

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

4. Update Drivers:
- Ensure all your drivers, especially the graphics card driver, are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause system instability.
5. Test RAM:
- Run a memory test to check for any issues with your RAM modules. Memtest86 is a popular tool for this purpose.
6. Check Power Supply:
- Ensure that your power supply unit is adequate for your system requirements and functioning correctly.
7. BIOS Update:
- Consider updating your BIOS to the latest version provided by your motherboard manufacturer.
8. Check Event Viewer:
- Review the Event Viewer in Windows to gather more information about the error and potential triggers.
9. Power Settings:
- Adjust power settings to ensure the system is not set to power-saving modes while playing games.
### Additional Information:
  • The error message you provided is typical of unexpected shutdowns and can be challenging to pinpoint to a specific cause.
  • The XML data you posted contains details about the event but does not offer a direct solution.
  • The BugcheckCode value of 0 indicates that no specific bug check code was reported.
### Acknowledgement:
- It's great that you've already done some troubleshooting steps like checking temperatures and running Prime95 without errors. These are good initial steps to rule out common causes.
By following these steps, you might be able to identify and resolve the Kernel Power 41 error you are experiencing. If the issue persists, further troubleshooting may be necessary. Feel free to reach out for more assistance if needed.
