Windows Vista Laptop lid-option problem.

My problem is simply:
-I close the lid -> my wireless shuts off.

Bigger problem:
-I do not have a lid option. I click on the 'Change what the lid does' in control panel and it leads me to the 'Power and Sleep button settings'. If I had the option, I could simply change it and I just don't.

I have to leave the lid open for the wireless to continue on and I would like to close the lid instead rather then leaving it open.

Thanks in advanced.

Solution
I don't know what kind of laptop you have, but I know there is a known issue with the Vista Operating Systems where the external displays will not delay or will display with the resolution incorrectly, if the notebook is booted with the lid closed or if the lid is closed soon after boot. See manufacturer FAQ section to learn how to resolve the issue. (You might read about TMM) When you close the lid on your mobile PC- Windows can shut down, do nothing, or enter a power saving state. Sleep or Hibernation. You'll have to check your manufacturer instruction booklet to adjust these controls.
