Lotus Notes 8.5 issues

I am a newbie to Lotus notes 8.5.x and the issue I am running into is that after the install it throws an error "You are not allowed to perform this operation" I did some reading an it has let me to believe that the .nsf is lock with some security features. I would like to know a work around because I have 30 user who will be going live in the following months. I will appreciate the help.

Can you try running the installer in Windows Vista compatibility mode?

Also, if you ever have problems opening Lotus files, use Gnumeric freeware.
