Solution
It sounds like you might have accidentally changed the location of your user profile folder or the Desktop folder in Windows. To resolve this issue, you'll need to correct the folder paths to their default locations. Here's how you can revert the folder locations back to their default settings:
  1. Revert the User Profile Location:
    • Right-click on "This PC" or "Computer" and select "Properties."
    • Click on "Advanced system settings" on the left sidebar.
    • In the System Properties window, go to the "Advanced" tab and click on the "Settings" button under the User Profiles section.
    • Select your profile and click on the "Change" button to set the profile path back to its default location.

    []Restore the Desktop Folder Location:
    • Navigate to your user profile folder (e.g., C:\Users\YourUsername).
    • Right-click on the Desktop folder and go to "Properties."
    • In the Desktop Properties window, go to the "Location" tab.
    • Click on the "Restore Default" button to set the Desktop folder back to its default location.

    ]Check Registry Settings (Optional):
    • If you made changes to the folder paths in the Registry, you can navigate to the following Registry key:
      Code:
       HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
    • Ensure that the paths for the Desktop folder (and other folders if needed) are set to the default locations.
  2. Reboot Your Computer:
    • After making these changes, it's a good idea to restart your computer to ensure the settings are applied correctly. By following these steps, you should be able to restore the correct locations for your user profile and Desktop folder in Windows. Remember to double-check each step to avoid any further issues with folder redirection.
