I just got an M.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD. It is really fast, but I applied my 8.1 image to the drive and it came out not activated. Not sure why, but I had to call the Activation site.
I was greeted by instructions to enter some numbers I was given just to get to the actual activation. Basically, two sets of numbers of 2 or 3 digits, something like the letters you may be required to enter when registering on a forum.
My thinking is Microsoft may be having a situation with Robo Activations... I wonder if it is related to Windows 10 or just another tactic used by pirates...
Thanks.

Because the hardware has changed major from what was there beforeNot sure why,
Phone activate worked?I was greeted by instructions to enter some numbers I was given just to get to the actual activation.
imo its just so they don't have to pay for staff... if a computer can answer the phone then I don't need people right? Now when if can take the garbage out or give blowjobs we are all in trouble!I wonder if it is related to Windows 10 or just another tactic used by pirates...
