Windows 7 Migrating to new hardware (Win7 HP)?

So I bought win7 and got two links for 32-bit and 64-bit win7 installations. I downloaded the 32-bit version, installed it and activated, but now after two years I'm migrating to new hardware and I want to know proper procedure to successfully migrate windows activation key from one machine to other?
1) Do I need to deactivate the key on old machine or simply format old HDDs and simply install win7 on the new HW and activate? If deactivation is needed - some instructions would be welcome...
2) I need to switch from 32-bit win7 to 64-bit win7 since I'm upgrading from 4 to 8GB RAM. Does this have any impact on migrating procedure (Other than using the 64-bit installation)?

Any other advice on the procedure?

Hi

This post suggests that they will let you install Windows 7 on up to 3 PCs.
I'm not sure if that is true or not.

This post also suggest that transferring it isn't a problem.

I'd say just go ahead and install it and if you have any problems activating it call Microsoft.

I didn't find anything that specifically says you can't install it on more then one computer as long as it's done one at a time.

Here's a post about deactivation.
