For some reason my router and modem will not show correctly on my dell inspirion one desktop. Im running windows 7 and here are the net work connection deatils

DCHP Enabled Yes
Ipv4 Address 192.168.2.2
Ipv4 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0

Ipv4 DHCP Server 192.168.2.1
Ipv4 DNS Server 192.168.2.1
IPv4 WINS Server
NetBIOS over Tcpip enabled Yes

The Connection was working about ten days ago and then suddenly stopped and read as an unidentified network no internet access. at one point is was not receiving packets but now it is but it still says no internet access on the IPv4 Connectivity. Media state is also enabled and the speed is 100.0 Mbps

when i troubleshoot it says windows cant identify problem but in the details it says default gateway is available.
when i use the cmd prompt ipconfig/all my local ethernet adapter has a physical address of all zeros.
been trying fo over a week now to fix this problem would appreciate any help given.

oh and i also tried a system restore but that didnt help either.

Hi.

Check the task manager for the mdnsresponder.exe. If you have that, then uninstall the Bonjour service.

----------

Type these commands then press enter, one at a time in an elevated command prompt, then reboot -

netsh winsock reset

netsh ip int reset C:\log.txt

---------------------

Update the lan driver:

RTL8111

Use another machine to download it if you need to.

tried those and it still didnt work the funny thing is that i wasnt even using this computer. what i was doing was using my laptop as aq router to share internet with my xbox 360. on my laptop i was setting a static ip address to fix nat issues i had with my router. then all of the sudden my cousen who was on the desktop with a wired connection told me it wouldnt connect ato the internet or the router. when i checked the router settings it showed on the DHCP list that the desk to mac address was all zeros. i then used the cmd prompt to check ip config and there it was also all zeros.
here is every thing from ip config all.

It looks like the PC has two ethernet cards, both receiving completely different IP addressing schemes. So since the WiMAX Network Adapter seems to be receiving publicly addressable ip address information the first question is how and to what your PC is connected. Typically this would be a product of having your PC connected directly to you ISP provided device (modem), which ideally should be connected to the WAN port of the router and then natted to the internal network (192.168.2.nnn) through the switch ports on the router.
So maybe to start with, disable the second adapter, check the physical configuration, web to ISP provided device (modem), modem to router wan port, router switch port to PC. Perform a full network reboot, everything off, power unplugged from router and modem. Modem brought up first, confirm all lights steady and green (or whatever), router next, confirm all lights steady and green and then PC.
Confirm what you can reach using the ping utility to ping the inside and outside edge of your router, then ping 64.233.169.99 and then www.google.com.
Keep us posted.

Click Start Orb then all programs, then accessories, then command prompt type ping then a space (space bar) and then the IP address that you want to ping and or the fully qualified domain name that you want to ping
Example:
ping 192.168.2.1 (inside edge of your router)
ping 64.233.169.99 (google ip address)
ping www.google.com (googles fqdn)
keep us posted.

In order to make any real progress with this issue, we need to determine how you are connecting, concentrating on the wired RealTek gigabit card. What is it connected to (looks like a Belkin Router but I can't be sure) whatever it is, then what is that uplinked to (what is plugged into it's WAN port) presumably you ISP provided device.
The presence of the WiMax device (which seems to be getting info from a 3G broadband network) may be complicating things so when performing actions to determine why your wired connection is having a problem, consider temporarily disabling the WiMax device. The ping results seems to be a bit contratictory with four destination host unreachables and then sent 4 receive 4 lost 0. Not exactly what I was expecting. May be the result of conflicting default gateways between the two network adapters.
