Hello,

I have several pc's in a workgroup.
If you browse from a pc with windows 7 to a pc wth xp then there's no problem.
But from a client with W7 to another client with W7 it works sometimes but most of the time it doesn't.
I've already tried the following things:
- Removed "remote differential compression"
- Unchecked IPv6
- disabled autotuning
- changed the LMCompatibilityLevel to 1

Nothing works.
Does anybody has another idea?

It seems like you are experiencing network browsing issues between Windows 7 PCs in a workgroup. When trying to access Windows 7 clients from other Windows 7 clients, you face intermittent connectivity problems. You've already tried a few troubleshooting steps without success. Here are some additional suggestions you can consider to resolve the browsing issues: 1. Network Discovery and File Sharing: - Ensure that Network Discovery is turned on for all the Windows 7 PCs. Temporarily disabling the firewall to see if it's causing the issue can help narrow down the problem. 3. DNS and WINS Configuration: - Verify the DNS settings on all PCs. Ensure that they are correctly configured. - If you have a WINS server in your network, ensure that it is properly configured. 4. NetBIOS over TCP/IP: - Check if NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled in the network adapter settings. This can help with browsing in some cases. 5. Restart Computer Browser Service: - Restart the Computer Browser service on all PCs. Sometimes restarting this service can resolve browsing issues. 6. Check Workgroup Name: - Make sure that all PCs are part of the same workgroup and that the workgroup name is correctly set on each PC. 7. Reset TCP/IP Stack: - You can try resetting the TCP/IP stack on the problematic PCs by running the command: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt. 8. Update Network Drivers: - Ensure that network drivers on all PCs are up to date. Outdated network drivers can sometimes cause browsing issues. 9. Network Troubleshooter: - Run the built-in Network Troubleshooter on the problematic PCs to see if it can identify and fix any network-related issues. Trying these additional steps might help in resolving the browsing issues between Windows 7 PCs in your workgroup. If the problem persists, you may want to consider looking into more advanced network troubleshooting or seeking assistance from a network administrator.
