Newbie to the thread and wonder if there is anyone who can help me with my network setup that I cannot get to work. The following hardware is involved:
- PC (i7-870, 8gb ram, Win7 64 etc.)
- Laptop (Asus UL80 with Win7)
- Main router (D-Link DSL-2740B)
- 2nd router (Netgear WNDR37AB, wirelinked to the D-Link router)
- D-Link Boxee Box (wirelinked to the 2nd router)
- D-Link powerline network
I cannot get these to work together. I have the 2nd router to improve wireless in my house. The problem is that I cannot get it to work as an access point rather than a router. Setup: Main PC and D-Link router in basement. Thick walls so I got the powerline network linked to main router, and in the other end it is linked to router no 2. Boxee box in turn linked by cable to router no. 2. I have tried to read boxee forums, but no one seems to have this setup. Can anyone help me please?!
