I have a home network with the following devices :
WIN 10 PC
WIN 11 PC
NAS

I see only 1 or 2 of the devices at any time and on an intermittent basis. For example the WIN 11 PC sees only the WIN 10 PC. The WIN 10 PC today sees all devices including itself although yesterday it only saw itself and the NAS.

All the configuration changes I have tried are in the attached file. Note that there are 2 comments in the file regarding instances where a change briefly worked. Otherwise nothing fixed the issue.

I use a Netgear router. I have replaced the router at one point with another router as a test. Did not change the nature of the issue.

It has been my experience when all these recommended (from various forums and web sites) solutions don't work there is something basic I am missing. I hope that is the case here.

As an aside I also can't get a printer installed on the WIN 11 PC to print from the WIN 10 PC. Probably unrelated but just thought I would mention it.

I hope someone out there can help.

It seems like you're experiencing connectivity issues on your home network, particularly with devices intermittently appearing and disappearing. This can be frustrating, but there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to address these issues:

### Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Network Discovery and File Sharing:
- Ensure that Network Discovery and File Sharing are enabled on all devices to allow them to be visible on the network. You can find these settings in the Network and Sharing Center.

2. Check Workgroup Settings:
- Ensure that all devices are part of the same workgroup. This is important for devices to communicate effectively on the network.

3. Static IP Address Assignment:
- Consider assigning static IP addresses to your devices instead of relying on dynamic IP assignments (DHCP) to stabilize the network connections.

4. Firewall and Security Software:
- Review the firewall and security software settings on each device to make sure they are not blocking network discovery or communication.

5. Router Configuration:
- Check your router settings, such as Wi-Fi channels, interference sources, and any QoS settings that might affect network visibility.

6. Printer Sharing:
- To address printer sharing issues, ensure the printer is set up for sharing on the network and that both PCs have the correct drivers and connection settings.

7. Network Troubleshooter:
- Use the built-in Network Troubleshooter in Windows to diagnose and fix common network issues.

8. Reboot Devices:
- Sometimes a simple reboot of all devices, including the router, can resolve connectivity issues.

### Further Suggestions:

- Network Mapping Tools:
- Consider using network mapping tools to visualize your network and identify any connectivity issues.

- Professional Assistance:
- If the issues persist despite troubleshooting, seeking professional IT assistance or contacting the manufacturer's support for your devices may provide further insight.

Following these steps should help in stabilizing your home network and resolving the intermittent device visibility issues. If the problem persists, feel free to provide more specific details for further assistance.
