I currently have these running and they seem fine.. I've yet to bench but basically they are included in case anyone has problems with the official release or just want to try something new..

The correct drivers for your card (which is actually unsupported under Windows 8 as it isn't WDDM 1.2 capable but 1.1) can be found here:

These are legacy drivers for the 4 series and below.. You'll see the catalyst control panel if you click on the Task bar icon or The Metro tile.
This beta will also run very nicely on windows 8 Preview:

I've been running the driver myself and all seems good although to install under win 8 one needs to disable driver signing.

AMD has released the Catalyst 12.6 Legacy graphics driver for the HD 2000 - 4000 series on Windows 8. However this driver is not WHQL certified and only supports WDDM 1.1, not WDDM 1.2.

I have a LG monitor with a resolution of 1600x900, my video card is a HD 4670 and there is no option for this resolution in win 8 and a I can't or don't know how o access the catalyst control center. Please help me.

AMD has released the official Link Removed graphics driver for the HD 5000 series and above under Windows Vista, 7 and 8. It provides a newly designed 3D application settings page, performance improvements in a range of games, as well as bug fixes.

AMD has released the Link Removed graphics driver for the HD 5000 series and above on Windows Vista, 7 and 8. This driver improves performance in the Crysis 3 MP Beta when 4x and 8x MSAA are enabled, as well as containing all of the changes in the previous Catalyst 13.2 Beta 3.
