I bought a USB wireless adapter and when I plug it in I get the "not connected" beep. I'm thinking Windows can't detect a driver and I don't know where to download one. It doesn't have a brand name, just the type 802.11n
Is there a step I'm missing?

Solution
The one on Amazon shows a driver disk which comes with it. I'd email the seller you bought it from on ebay and ask if they provide such a disk.

Also the chinese supplier have a website:

and on there they have a chat link and also an email address if you want to try chatting or emailing them: [email protected]
Looke in Device Manager, if it's listed right click and select update driver.

Thanks for the reply. My problem is that Windows doesn't recognize that anything is plugged into the port.

OK. You say you bought it - was that new from a shop or elsewhere? Can you identify the brand and model? Did it come with any instructions and/or disk?

I bought it from Ebay. There's no brand listed on the device or the package it came in. Just says "Model No: SM-N150RT01"

Now I feel really stupid. There is a mini disk sandwiched between the card. Guess what I did? Cut it in half when I opened the package!
