Hi I know it sounds like a kinda pointless thing to do, but does anyone know how to reset default file opener to "no program" in a windows 7 computer.
And reset it back to this:

little icon. I accidentally set the wrong default file opener, and I don't have any other program to open this type of file. And I want to reset it back to no program

Yes, you need to
  • look in the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT for the file extension such as .txt.
  • Select the extension key (in this example .txt) and look at the default value. In my example it says txtfile.
  • Now scroll down or search for txtfile, which will also be under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and expand it
  • Then expan shell and lastly open
  • select the command key underneath that
  • Blank out the (Default) value under the command key
