Hello all,

I have search internet for allmost 8 hours to find some urls that could take me to some sollutions.
The fact is, i have installed Windows 7 this morning and everything went well.
Really not one issue was causing.
After a while i mentioned i didn't have any sound. No system sounds nor audio.
So i searched for latest drivers Vista/7 But with no luck. I have tried many workarounds with different on board drivers, but all without succeeding. Still have no sound. I am aware of the fact that Windows 7 is still in Beta. But why did i have sound while i was running Vista Ultimate and with Windows 7 it's totally nothing?

I have tried to find some topics here wich could solve my problem, but unfortunately there wasnt any.
So that's why i started my own topic.

Does anybody got some knowledge, ideas or sollutions that can help me out?

It would be highly appreciated.

I made a detailed system list where you're able to view all of my hardware, system, with names, versions etc
Link Removed.
Maybe that'll help to push you in the right direction.

Thanks in advanced

Regards
Dave.

Hello Dave, I see that you're experiencing issues with sound on Windows 7 after installing it successfully. It can be frustrating to encounter such problems, especially with audio not working as expected. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the sound issue on Windows 7: 1. Check Sound Settings: - Ensure that the sound is not muted and the volume is turned up. - Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Open Volume Mixer." Check if the volume levels are set correctly for different applications. 2. Update Audio Drivers: - It's crucial to have the correct audio drivers installed. Since you mentioned trying Vista/7 drivers without success, there might be compatibility issues. - You can try the following: - Check the manufacturer's website for specific Windows 7 drivers for your sound card. - Use Windows Update to see if it can find and install appropriate drivers automatically. 3. Device Manager: - Open Device Manager (you can press Win + X and select Device Manager). - Look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark, indicating driver issues. - Right-click on the sound card device and select "Update Driver" to search for updated drivers. 4. Windows Audio Service: - Ensure that the Windows Audio service is running: - Press Win + R, type "services.msc," and press Enter. - Locate the Windows Audio service and make sure it's set to Automatic and running. 5. Check Hardware Connection: - Ensure that your speakers or headphones are correctly connected to the audio output port. 6. Compatibility Mode: - You can try installing the Vista drivers in compatibility mode: - Right-click on the driver setup file, go to Properties, and navigate to the Compatibility tab. Choose to run it in compatibility mode for Windows Vista. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it could be a deeper compatibility problem with your particular hardware and Windows 7 beta. In that case, consider reaching out to Microsoft support or forums dedicated to beta testing for further assistance. If you encounter any specific error messages or details during these steps, please provide them for more tailored assistance. Best of luck in resolving your sound issue on Windows 7! Let me know if you need further assistance.
