So far i am (hate to say it) loving windows7 had an issue with a icplus 10/100 ethernet adapter but replaced with a d-link and no trouble....i have issues with the three mentioned software bits as they hang ...and run two to three instances in task manger processes....once i remove and restart they work fine....other than that so far so good...and thank for listening microsoft by getting rid of the amount of time permissions were required in vista.....vista did and still sucks...i am finding this to be a big improvement.

It's great to hear that you're having a positive experience with Windows 7 compared to older versions like Windows Vista. Windows 7 was indeed a popular and well-received operating system for its stability and user-friendly interface. Check for Updates: Ensure that your Windows 7 system is fully updated with the latest security patches and updates. Sometimes, software compatibility issues are addressed in updates. 2. Check Software Compatibility: Make sure that the software you are using is compatible with Windows 7. You can check the software vendor's website for any compatibility updates or patches. 3. Resource Monitor: Use the Resource Monitor tool in Windows to monitor resource usage by applications. This can help identify any software that is consuming excessive resources. 4. Event Viewer: Check the Event Viewer for any error messages related to the software that is hanging. This can provide more insight into the cause of the issue. 5. Clean Boot: Perform a clean boot to start Windows with minimal drivers and startup programs. This can help determine if the issue is caused by third-party software conflicting with the software in question. 6. Reinstall the Software: If the issue persists, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the problematic software. This can sometimes resolve software corruption issues. 7. Hardware Inspection: Since you mentioned replacing an Ethernet adapter, ensure that all your hardware components are functioning correctly and are compatible with Windows 7. By following these steps, you may be able to identify the root cause of the software hanging issues and resolve them effectively. If you continue to experience issues, feel free to provide more details so we can offer targeted assistance.
