Windows 7 .pdf doesn't open

I have adobe as well as the extensions for both internet explorer and firefox but I cannot always open .pdf's in my browser, It will work about 5% of the time but otherwise a blank popup comes up and just a blank page where the pdf should be

do you have the latest version of adobe reader installed? If not, go here: Adobe - Adobe Reader download - All versions

If that doesn't help, you could always try the Foxit Reader; Foxit Software - Downloads(Latest Version)
