Hi,
I have Windows 7 installed on my pc. whenever i login (after boot), it pops up a windows prompting to 'open a file'
file path : C:\Windows\System32
File name: rundll32.dll

I am not able to resolve this..

I checked the soln: Link Removed

I downloaded and found a file which say 'file not found' but not able to proceed ahead.

HELP

Two possibilities come to mind...

1) you are missing a needed file...
2) you are being played with by a virus.

What happens if you cancel this dialog?
Does the startup resume normally?

Hi
Thanks for that.
But I am not able to find which is the program to disable.
Can you help me locate that please.

Hello and welcome to the forums.
If you would like we could have a look and see if we can spot it for you.
Type msinfo32 into the search box and hit enter.
From the System Information Console on the menu bar, choose File and then save, give it a name and put it in your preferred location. Then zip it up and attach it to your next post. I'm sure somebody here, will be able to take a look and see if anything stands out.

EDIT: Please check your Private Messages, I sent you a PM regarding your posts location. We are trying to discourage members creating posts involving requests for support, inside the Discussion Forum, which is not intended as a help/support forum, merely for, well, Windows 7 Discussion.
