Hello,

I am having this very annoying problem where the screensaver won't turn on, the screen doesn't turn off after a predetermined amount of time because I think there is something wrong with the cursor or mouse. I know this because whenever I click "preview" for the screensaver it would start for half a second before the computer "wakes up" again like someone had moved the mouse. Also when I hover over the icons in my taskbar, Aero Peek would flash on the screen for about a second before disappearing. I have tried removing the USB mouse and using the trackpad instead but the problem is still there. Can someone please help me solve this problem because it is really making me crazy. Thank you!

    ]Check Task Scheduler:
    • Sometimes tasks in Task Scheduler can interfere with the screensaver. Check for any tasks that might be waking the computer.
    []Check for External Factors:
    • Ensure there are no external factors triggering the wake-up, such as vibrations near the system.
    [
    ]System File Checker:
    • Run an SFC scan to check for any corrupted system files that might be causing the issue.

      Additional Tips:

      • Restart your computer after making changes to apply the settings.
      • If the issue persists, you might consider performing a system restore to a point before the problem started.
By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and hopefully resolve the issue with your screensaver not activating properly. If the problem persists, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.
