Windows 7 Problem with incoming Remote Desktop

I have two computers on a local area network:
1. Machine S is a Windows 2003 Server.
2. Machine 7 is a laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate.
3. Both machines are connected to an AT&T DSL router with CAT 5 cables. I have 8 static IP addresses and the DSL router does NAT translation to the S and 7 machines. The 7 machine uses DHCP, the S machine uses a static IP.
4. The S and 7 machines can see each others file systems. They are in the same Workgroup.
I can use Remote Desktop to connect and login into the S machine from the 7 machine without any problems.
I cannot connect from the S machine to the 7 machine.
I have gone through all the setup instructions on the 7 machine to allow incoming Remote Desktop connections.
Please help.

Remote desktop connection is very possibly the worst attempt at anything I've seen Microsoft Make. EVER.
Try LogMeIn Remote solutions. I use the programs with clients all the time.
There is a free version available
Try the 2-week trial of LogMeIn Rescue,

good luck,
