Windows 8 Problem with the new windows opening

I'm going directly to the problem...
Basically, when I try to go to windows page, and I try to search something it doesn't let me find it.
Or even when I try to switch songs!

I'm not sure I understand your problem exactly but I recommend and use Agent Ransack for searching Windows.
It's free and it works great, I've used it for years. It will add Agent Ransack to the right click dropdown.

It works much better than the Windows search engine.
I'm not sure about the Switch Songs question?
