hello again, after some nasty Bsod and a clean reinstall of windows to resolve that problem i've noticed that somethimes after startup the computer won't display correctly the physical and virtual dvd drives...and the sistem is too slow.i tryed in several times to restart it to see if the problem will disappear but the restart procces was taking ages to complete...till i've diconected the 4Gb Sdhc card wich was dedicated to readyboost.i tryed restarting the computer without the SDhc card in it..went fine...everthing was ok till i inserted back the card then suddenly the computer slows dramaticly stops responding and the problem mentioned above reappears!

My question :is it really a readyboost issue or some tech fault from my computer?and what can i do to fix it.now i'm usig the computer without the SDhc card and the readyboost function.

my pc config is: toshiba satellite a 300 intel core2duo centrino 1,83 Ghz 4Gb ram
and the driver for the card reader is from O2 and it is the latest one!

thank you.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with your computer's performance and DVD drives after reinstalling Windows. The behavior you described with the SDHC card causing slow system performance and DVD drive visibility issues could be related to compatibility or driver issues. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem: 1. Check for Driver Updates: - Ensure that all your drivers, including the SDHC card reader driver, are up to date. Even though you mentioned that the driver for the card reader is the latest, it's good to double-check that all drivers are indeed updated. 2. Disable ReadyBoost: - Since removing the SDHC card resolves the performance issue, it's possible that there...

Even though you mentioned that the driver for the card reader is the latest, it's good to double-check that all drivers are indeed updated. 2. Disable ReadyBoost: - Since removing the SDHC card resolves the performance issue, it's possible that there may be a compatibility issue between ReadyBoost and your system. Try disabling ReadyBoost entirely to see if the problem persists. 3. Test the SDHC Card on Another System: - To rule out any issues with the SDHC card itself, try using it on another system to see if it causes similar problems. If it does, the card may be faulty. 4. Check for System Updates: - Make sure that Windows and all installed software are up to date. Updates often include bug fixes and performance improvements that could resolve such issues. 5. System Performance Check: - Use built-in Windows tools such as Task Manager to monitor system performance when the SDHC card is inserted. Check for any unusual spikes in CPU, memory, or disk usage that could indicate an issue. 6. Hardware Test: - Perform a hardware test to check the health of your system components, including the hard drive, RAM, and DVD drives. 7. System Restore: - If the issue started after a specific software installation or update, consider performing a system restore to a point before the problem occurred. 8. Contact Support: - If the issue persists and you are unable to resolve it on your own, consider contacting Toshiba support or a professional technician for further assistance. By following these steps, you should be able to pinpoint the cause of the issue and take appropriate action to resolve it. Feel free to try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance!
