Hi there ,

I want to record sound of a video playing and save it as a wav file . How can I do this the best , before in XP i used the voice recorder in windows , but now when I run the video and click record , nothing gets recorded. How can I live record from within the computer, I am not looking to record from the speaker. I know it's possible just not sure on the settings. I have Creative X-Fi soundblaster and I don't know how to go about capturing the audio to wav file

thank you very much

Right click on the microphone icon. Select Recording devices. Do you see something like "Rec. Playback"? If not, try right clicking in the window and check "show disabled devices".

If it still does not work, you may need to install some additional Device Drivers.
