    Hi Mike,
The link works fine for me, both on IE and Firefox.

OOPS!!! I GAVE THE WRONG LINK ABOVE!!! SORRY!

    HERE'S THE PROPER ONE:

ShellFolderFix - Manage folder window positions/size - Windows 7 Help Forums

Download Links are at the bottom of first Post.

I'm using the 64-bit version and it works fine.
    Rob

PS also save the post's text, since the app has no Help file

    Hi

    Just a note.

If you are coming from XP make sure you learn to take advantage of the snap feature in Windows 7.

I hardly notice where or how the Windows opens anymore because of the easy formatting of the open windows to half or full screen.

Thanks, Mike. I have the "Getting Around the Desktop Guide" and will peruse it to find out all the possibilities of the Snap function. As you imply, coming from XP I often get overwhelmed by my Desktop becoming bloated with huge windows; and, though the above "Make 7 Remember Custom Folder Settings" is a real boon, is seems as if the Snap function will often be sufficient rather than having to customize individual folders.
