Windows 10 renaming usb sticks

Hi,
I would like to rename a usb stick.
If I click on 'This PC' in explorer I can see the stick and if I try to rename it I partially succeed, the name changes but even though I type it in lower case and it shows up on the screen in lower case when I apply it I always get the name in upper case?
There are other drives named in lower case but for some reason I can't get the stick to stay in lower case?
Any ideas?
