Hi Evertybody,

I'm using Windows-10 (Home) and recently added a "guest" account that I call Visitor. I want to restrict the Visitor account from even opening certain applications, such as my private accounting and tax programs.

How do I go about doing that?

Hi,

If you would like to restrict the Visitor user to only one app/program, you should use the kiosk mode, as explained here How to Restrict Guest Users to One App in Windows 10.
But if you would like to allow/restrict the Visitor user from using more than one app/program, then you should use the following method:

You could also explore Scalefusion Windows kiosk Mode for this purpose. It offers a simple and efficient way to lock down devices, either to a single app or a selection of apps, making it ideal for managing guest or visitor users. Definitely worth checking out!
