Set Default Programme for MS Office Application

    My MS Office programs are not recognised by Windows 7. I can only open the files through the application i.e. open MSWord and then open the file from MSWord.
    I've tried correcting this with 'set your sdefault programs', but MS Office programs are not listed and in fact very few programs are listed. Can anyone help please?

    This is an unusual problem as Office will set the file associations upon install. To save yourself time, you may want to do a repair install under Programs by selecting Microsoft Office or simply uninstalling and reinstalling the Office suite.
