Windows 7 So What Are You Playing Right Now?

Well I was gonna get the new Mafia 2 game but thought it would overheat my CPU like the other newer games so I bought the new Corsair H-70 for my CPU instead. To tide me over until the new H-70 arrives I saw an older game at the pawnshop "King Kong" bad move after installing it my computer restarts and I get an XP type screen trying to load and then goes into repair mode,Thank god W7 repaired it!

Just finished Mafia II, it wasn't as good as I expected but entertaining. I've started on an oldie but goody "Project Snowblind". I can't believe how cheap this game was on Ebay $1.99 for a new sealed copy. Looking for idea's on another game, anybody?

I'm playing Boiling Point again....and am really enjoying it. My old rig had trouble running it when it came out and also I didn't know about the 2.0 patch lol.

I mean the game has its bugs still but if a bit of voice acting is missing its better that a corrupt save file or something.

Precursors is sweet also, Link Removed - Invalid URL not a bad price either, you'll just need the English patch and the ATI flicker fix if your ATI =D

I'll keep my eyes open for those, Precursors looks entertaining. I missed Fear 2 but I'll be checking up on Alma in Fear 3 for sure.

Just started "Singularity" it starts out interesting but the only problem seems to be low audio levels. I've searched the web and the few fixes don't work.

Are your audio drivers up to date?

Yes all drivers are up to date. Activision is aware of this problem but are slow to release a patch for it. Also bought The Witcher enhanced edition and guess what? it's not compatable with W7. This just isn't my day. :(

Hmm.. I had a quick look through your link but can you explain further as to how it helped you? What did it actually do?

I'm not completely sure but from what I understand W7 doesn't install copyright protection tags like Vista does. Some games won't run without them and some games won't run with them, what that app does is installs them if you don't have tags or removes them if you do. Now I confused :(

Battlefield : Bad Company 2 VIETNAM.... much harder and more in ya face than regular edition (Went live 9am this morning for PC, suck it console owners hahahahaaaa)

EDIT: Uploaded a video of me played as co-gunner on a tank. :p

Hey all,

I've finally got my Russian bought copy of The Precursors up and running.

Its in English, its patched and the screen flicker that occurs when using an ATI card is also fixed.

To fix it I have had to sacrifice some HUD when using scopes and binoculars but if that's the only hit, I'll gladly accept. The game is just brilliant. I am thoroughly addicted.

Deep Shadows are Bethesda's only competition when it comes to "game world realism"

Anyways, before this turns into an article...

These are from the first level. I'll post some more when I get my ship up and running lol.

Currently MOH2010, World of Tanks beta, Good old MohSH and of all things SniperElite from 2005.

WAITING FOR EAGERLY IN 2011 FOR ELECTRONIC ARTS -"CRYSIS 2" "BULLETSTORM" '& THQ-''HOMEFRONT".....THOUGH PLAYED ELECTRONIC ARTS "DEAD SPACE 2" BUT WAS NOT ENTERTAINING LIKE "DEAD SPACE 1"

Last few days I've been playing "Homefront" and I must say I was a bit worried before my good mate bought me it whether it was gonna be a bit rubbish. After a day playing it I can safely say it's much better than a lot of people said it was, although I enjoyed "Frontlines: Fuels of War" which they also made, finding many of the same ideas such as use of drones being used to good effect. Okay so the solo player campaign is probably the shortest ever at 4 hours, but the story was good, the action was as good as any other fps, in some ways better as there seems less of the hundred hits needed to kill seen on many games lately., and more importantly it feels fresh, not being derived from the usual suspects (WW2, 'NAM, etc)

The multiplayer is frankly right up there with the big boys (Bad Company 2 is narrowly my favourite still) featuring plenty of unlocks, power ups in the form of in-game money used to buy land and air drones, as well as specialist big guns and rpgs etc. One of the biggest returns is being able to go prone, something missing from all the so-called best fps of the last few years, nothing beats down the enemy than proning crawls past the barriers unseen by the enemy expecting crouchers etc....lol I give this a hearty 89% as has all the signs of more good things to come, especially if the modding community get the toolkit for map making etc.

Other stuff being getting a look in lately:-

Left 4 Dead 2, mostly for trying some of the new content (Cold Stream Beta) and some nice mods, still great fun due to large amounts of custom maps etc.

Dawn of War 2 Retribution
, hmm wasn't that impressed with it to be honest, very short 5 hour campaign, a few tweaks and a new race... not much difference over the past titles apart from a ever so slightly higher unit cap which is still way to small.

Monday Night Combat, not a bad future sport idea, clearly nicking the style of Team fortress 2 and making a fun arcade shooter which sadly lacks in map count, but nice for a bash now and then.

Total War Napoleon, fantastic RTS with lots of depth and huge scale of the great epic movies of yester year, bit twitchy on co-op campaign mode but otherwise its one of those games that takes months to fully play through, eating time away like the old Xcom series used to back in the day.

Dirt 2, likely to stay on the weekly playlist until Dirt3 lands.... or if by miracle SHIFT2 is actually good... (not getting hopes up after the abysmal Test Drive Unleashed 2 or the fact SHIFT1 was a poorman's GRID).

Games bannished to the wastelands

DOW2 Retribution (Once finnished the solo player i lost interest), Bulletstorm (Got old real quick, lots of gimmicks that don't deliver that well), Test Drive Unleashed 2 (2005 graphics and terrible driving feedback),
