Windows 7 Standard Windows apps crash when I type

Hello all,

I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with all the updates, etc. My issue is that when I turn on my computer, when I get to my desktop, if I use my keyboard to, say, delete an icon, explorer freezes up. If I go into notepad and try to type, it freezes up. If I go into CMD and try to type, CMD freezes up. This holds true for all the standard built in Windows apps excluding IE (then again I don't use IE so I don't really know). The issue goes away after about 10 minutes or so (during which I can use other programs without problems), but while it lasts, it's super annoying. I know it's not an issue with insufficient hardware, as I'm running on an i7 980X, 12GB Corsair Dominator GT DDR3 @1866MHz, and 2x GTX 480 in SLI. If anybody has any ideas on why this is happening please enlighten me. Oh, and my keyboard is a Razer Lycosa.\

Thanks in advance!
