Windows Vista Symbols on top of Desktop Icons

Good day all. I would like to know if you can identify and tell me why some of my desktop Icons have this symbol on them.

Carbonite is installed on this system and not sure if it is the culprit.

Case closed !
Icon Cache was corrupted. The symbol refers to MS Office Picture Manager,.
