isn't that what it always used to be when a new medium came up? there's always a gap left that is to fill. tv didn't replace radio, the computer didn't replace the tv and so on. we're always just moving towards a bigger multiplicity...

Yes. I do not agree w/ those trying to say Win8 is designed for anything BUT, conventional desktops & laptops. And that this is because Microsoft is ignoring the desktop (screen) experience & trying to move towards 'forcing' an elimination of it. Working on Desktop or on Desktop computers is not going to disappear anytime soon, IMHO.
