Windows 7 Toshiba soundcard problem

I have a toshiba P100 Satellite Laptop. When I loaded windows 7, the soundcard stopped working. Though it thinks it still works properly there is no sound. I have tried updating drivers, loading alternate drivers and I have searched the internet for a solution. I have gone to the toshiba website with no luck.

It worked fine under Vista.

Does anyone have a solution I might not have tried. The card is a conexant.
