To set up a network where some clients can access the server without a password while others require a password in a workgroup network, you can follow these steps:

Setting Up Client Access to Server Without a Password:

  1. Create a User Account on the Server:
    • Create a user account on the server for the client that needs to access it without a password.
    []Enable Guest Access:
    • You can set up the server to allow guest access. This way, clients can connect to the server without a password.

    ]Set Password-Protected Sharing:
    • Enable password-protected sharing on the server to require a password for accessing shared resources.
  2. Assign Permissions:
    • Set permissions on shared folders or drives to control access for clients with passwords.

      Additional Tips:

      • Make sure that the client machines are in the same workgroup as the server for seamless connectivity.
      • Regularly review and update user permissions and access rights based on changing requirements within the company.
      • Implement security measures like firewalls and antivirus software to protect the network from unauthorized access.
By following these steps, you can differentiate between clients that can access the server without a password and those that need to use a password for access in a workgroup network setting.
