The offending items are
KB3201845
KB3206632
KB3213986
help me please!

Hi Rik,

thought I'd take another look at the actual updates themselves:

KB3201845: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4004253/windows-10-update-kb3201845 Looks like this was eventually pulled and replaced:
Windows 10 KB3201845 brings a lot of issues, makes computers unusable

KB3206632: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4004227/windows-10-update-kb3206632 This was also pulled and replaced:
KB3213986...
All has failed. I am going to turn off updates and wait for Windows 11!

Hi Rik,

I was just reading through your post and noticed there's no mention of your current system. I have a hunch it's a laptop after reading the logs above but if you could post the make and model that would be most helpful.. :)

It's not a Laptop. It's a desktop I built.

My mistake, still, if you posted the system components it would be a great help.

Hi Rik,

thanks for that.
The only thing I saw which makes me wonder is BitDefender. Try running without it for a while just using Defender and Malwarebytes.

When you installed your current copy of windows was it an upgrade or clean install?

To get the stand-alone package for this update, go to the Microsoft Update Catalog website.
  • Update replacement information
This update replaces the previously released update KB3206632.

You can see that each update replaces the other and it's only the last one you need install.

Thanks for this research! So what is the update I need to obtain and run?
