Windows 7 Troubleshooting Frequent Blue Screen Crashes on Windows 7 Pro During Gaming and Idle Times

Hi all,

A few weeks ago I started having blue screen problems, freezing mostly when I play computer games, sometimes when the computer is idle. I have had a number of different error messages, the most common being IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, I have also had SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA and DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Sometimes after these crashes the computer does not start up and needs to be restarted at least once for it to boot up.


Basic System Info: Windows 7 Pro x64 OEM
Whole base unit is just over a year old, and I tried reinstalling Windows a week or so ago but it did not fix the problem.

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

nope a current screenshot, I have overclocking off, CnQ on and balanced power plan but it keeps jumping to 2210 and 3400, must have taken the screeny duting a jump. Would limiting the processor speed help perhaps?

Will run the RAM tests in different slots and get a hard drive test done overnight and get back with the results tomorrow.

Look, I have said it three times already >> load bios defaults so to set your hardware right.

>> Then, if crashes pesist, try another memory slot.

>> Test the hard drive too.

>> Finally if nothing works out, replace the hardware.

Again, very important to run at stock.
