Windows 7 Troubleshooting Home Workgroup Connection Between Windows 7 and XP Computers

I tried to make home workgroup with desktop that run win7 and laptop on xp. I can not open the home workgroup with the laptop: the icon on network places won't open: it give error message that I don't have the authorization or password to do it. how can I open the desktop on the laptop? Is there a internet guide to connect comuters that runs win7 with xp?

Hi,

I assume that you are talking about Win7 Homegroup. If so then it only works with Windows 7 PC's. For XP to see 7 folders etc you will have to share your folders the old fashioned way
